About a year ago I posted about my other hobby which is 1/4 scale model railroading. The center piece of my railroad is the scale operating Niantic River Bridge I own. My bridge is what the bridge looked like in the 40's. Amtrak has is going to replace this bridge and 5 other 100 year old rolling lift bridges in CT the next ten years. This bridge is going to be done in 2009. We pass under it very time we fish here as the launch is up river and it was foggy as hell this morning,,,,and one real differance between my model and the way it is today Amtrak electifried the shore line route in 1995 that all the extra junk is all over bridge decking.........
