Re: boat names
I discovered a name painted on the transom of my V20 that had been painted over. You can only see it only in a certain light. I don't like the name and won't mention it until the ritual and I then completely sand away every trace.
I certainly will go through the ritual of espunging the name from the gods ledger and then endemnify the new name with the proper incantations.
I'm not a big fan of champagne, but in order to not offend the gods, I will use it ritually and back it up with Yuengling Lager. Also, I intend having some steamed crabs to go along with the beer, and ceremonally cast their shells into the sea, and on land in the nearest garbage can. In my opinion, my crew and the gods will more completely appreciate the ritual by partaking of champagne, beer and crabs! The food and beer additions should also appease the nordic god "Oden", of whom I am decended, and protect my V20 while on the trailer!!!
