MJ if you go ahead and fill out the better business bureau complaint they will contact the shipping company and try to get results for you. *They act as a mediator. *It puts negative marks on their company for every complaint filed against them. *The only requirement for filing is that you've made every attempt possible at reconciling the problem. *
In your case the problem is they are lying to you. *That $hit ain't right.
I filed one with NC Sportsman magazine after many failed attempts at getting either a my 12 month subscription or a full $12 refund. *It worked for me and eventually got all $12 back. *Problem ended up being they printed my address wrong on the shipping labels. *They had address verifcation software that kept changing my address *::)
They were adamant that they would not refund my $12. They also said they would only send 6 of the 12 mags that I paid for. I wan't happy and when BBB got involved they changed their tune. Ended up trying to send the 6 back issues plus continuing the subscription for 6 mos but didn't work so finally they mailed me $12.
