Got tried of waitng for the Connecticut River to go down so I can get the boat in the river for stripers so today I took it to Crystal Lake in Ellington Ct it's a small but excellent trout lake it's one 1 of 5 that is a trophy trout lakes in the state and it's less than 15 minutes from here I used to troll there a lot but I have no kicker so we drifted with shiners in 3 hours we caught 11 trout the largest was 3 1/2 lbs and 22 1/2 inches long that my son caught. Next week Blackfish opens so....Down to the shore...Ted *
