Mike, I like bare bottoms better but she is still a sweet ride wearing the bottom paint. As far as removing the boot stripe, A hairdryer and a razor blade is all you need. I avoided a heat gun because I was afraid it may damage the hull. The truth is the hairdryer gets hot enough to melt the vinyl so I think a heat gun is overkill. I heated up the stripe about a foot at a time and started to peel it up in the corner with the razor blade. Once you get it started its pretty easy to peel off, just keep the hairdryer in front of the area you are working on and it will heat it up as you pull it off. Just take your time and pull the stripe off slow and becareful not to gouge your hull with the razor blade, its suprisingly easy to gouge with the blade. After I got the stripe off I used some acetone to remove the adhesive residue. Keep the pics coming.
