I'm not an expert at this, but two stroke carb motors aren't exactly the ideal motor to use to burn ethanol. Some of the older rubber hoses, needles, etc. will not hold up. Oils can be premixed with ethanol, but the motor has to be jetted to run richer than when you burn regular gas. I also heard that ethanol is pretty tough on cranks and bearings . . . People that race boats will use ethanol . . . apparently they will run a full gallon of gas and oil mix through the engine after the race. DFI motors adjusted to run alcohol would be much better for this type of fuel.
