Default Re: dual console model

Every boat design is a compromise of features. The dual console is supposed to be a mix of the benifits of a center console where you have much open access, especially to the bow, but also the protection of a full windshield. IMO, the windshield on the Wellcraft Dual Console is not big enough. It does, however offer the framework to add an enclosure like Seakindly's Steplift with easy access to the bow area. But again, you loose the benifits of a cuddy cabin, and you loose the benifits of an open boat.
It's all about tradeoffs and what works best for the individual boat owner. My previous boat was a walkaround cuddy, of which I think is the closest to giving the best of both worlds. There are a few downside to that as well though.
