Default Re: Providence Boat Show

Yeah . . . I avoided the crowds on Friday evening. My friend Jason was working the show and snuck me in under the alias "Don". Most of the boats were between 17 - 25ft. Prices seem to be down a bit from the previous 2-3 years . . . still out of my range. I couldn't believe the number of Suzuki 4 strokes. I'd say that there were almost as many Suzuki engines as Yamahas. There were a few Honda 150's. They actually look smaller that the Honda 90hp.

As far as the boat go . . . not too many new models. Two boats that I really liked were the maycraft 2700 pilothouse and the Scout Abaco 24. If you get a chance at the boston boat show, take a look at the Maycraft pilothouse 2700 seating. I think it would work well in your project boat.

Another great product (not sure how new it is???)

Garmin Bluecharts Bathymetric Charts:

This is the bluechart version of those charts that I posted from Stellwagen. Bluecharts offers 3 areas unforntunately none of the areas cover the west coast.

Overall pretty good show!!
