Assault on Hartwell was great day on the lake, but slow on the fishin'. 26 degrees at 7:30, warmed up to high 50s, no wind, sonar blacked out with fish, great blueback herring for bait, birds diving....just no fish biting...got two smallies in my boat, other boat couple of more


just gotta keep going back till they start biting...34 pounder few years back, one last year nearly spooled me before spitting hook...i almost broke down

it's either striper fish or pay a freakin' shrink and fishin's mo-better
