Default Re: Air Patriot

Ya really gotta play the throttle to not go too high, we had that thing some 40 ft up in the air over the boat when we back'd out of the throttle... pretty hairy stuff!! as the patriot flew over the boat.

Usually around 20 mph and she starts to lift, of course the faster you go, the higher it goes, dont think we ever got over 40 mph before the thing went haywire... it will hook hard left or hard right dependin on what the boats doin

Hurts to laugh lookin back on it,,, I remember when a bud Ray was in it, yell'd out "give it all she's got" and then we floor'd the throttle. He hit so hard when the thing inverted and nose dove straight down!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha..... man that was some funny sh#t!!!! He hit so hard we never did find his pants, wedding ring, or swim goggles.

You can cruise slow with it just like a tube. If you give the boat gas, she'll start to get air under her and lift, the fast the boat goes, the higher it goes. For short burst flights, just gas it till it comes off the water, then back off the throttle and it lands pretty softly. We were able to land it softly from roughly 10-12 ft up in the air using the boat throttle... anything over that height is "crash and burn"

:D
