Hey guys, Been working pretty hard at work. And spending time outfittint the McKee Craft. Been on the water more the last month than I did the last 2 years. Getting to know the rivers all around me. I cant believe how diverse the fishing is here. Something is always in season here. You can fish flats, deep holes, bridges and piers, inlets, troll channels - all that is within an hour boat ride from my neares ramp. I really gotta get a trolling motor though. Today I went out of riverside park in Vero Beach, about a 20 minute tow. Headed south and fished several spots. Even took her out of the inlet at Ft Pierce into the "big pond". 3 to 5 rollers kinda close. My new boat is better suited to staying "inside" unless it's a flat day in the ocean. I wouldn't have thought twice about throwing some trolling baits out behind my full transom V20 on a day like today. Would have had a 3 or 4 mile run off shore to look for some smoker kings. But my new boat lacks that flare in the bow, and is considerably lighter that the wellcraft. I think my new boat would outfish my old boat in the river any day. But get them outside, and it's hard to beat the V20. Problem is I would have to tow her down to Ft Pierce or Stuart to go offshore within the fuel range of the V20. I got a lot more targets year round in river than I could have outside with the V20.
