Re: HELP!!! PLEASE
Cyensen, can you disconnect the fuel supply line after the fuel-pump, then wire power to the pump to run some of your fuel from the tank? Problem w/this is, if water has settled to below pick-up then all you'll get is gas...if you can do this in the water, possibly as hard as you can, ROCK the boat back and forth to mix water/fuel while you pull a sample (you'll probably need a friend here)...run the sample into a clear container...if there's water there it'll sink to the bottom fairly quickly...remember you're dealing w/gasoline and FUMES are more volatile than the gas itself...keep in mind while runnun' that wire to the fuel pump...
Another thought; will a hose or something slide into your tank from the cap?...if it'll go to the BOTTOM, you can siphon a sample from there...if you can get your hands on a marine or automotive 12v fuel pump, use that instead of siphoning...that way, IF you find water, you can pump it right out ...if you try to feed a hose in from the filler cap, make sure it's clean and it'll have to feed thru a 90 degree neck on the tank; keep turning the hose to get past it...
This should have been my1st question; does your water seperator have water in it?...if so, you'll eventually get it out by continually dumping it...and adding fresh gas...
