Default Re: Good fiberglass work...

The Hermco Co. has rebuilt and re-fitted many boats. The majority seem to be Seacrafts since they worked so closely with that company over the years. They definately do excellent work.
All the reworking on Seacrafts raises a question in my mind. I've been on several Seacrafts of various sizes and can attest to their fantastic hull design offering a great ride in some very heavy seas. Was the factory work performed at the time of manufacture that subpar that they all need extensive rebuilding? I here talk about some years being better than others. I have seen very few that haven't had or needed transom or deck repairs.
Maybe Bigshrimpin can weigh in on this if he happens to read it since he's currently got one in-process.
