Default Re: Torque Steer

Ok Rap thats probably what I'll do, he told me he had adjusted it and it made no diffrence, it is a steady pull to the right, if you let go of the wheel it will immediatly turn the boat. I read in west marines catalog that it is called torque steer and is common on straight mechanical steering cables. But I was reading the posts about it on the hull truth and several guys had switched to the nfs steering and still had it, it reduced it but still could not let go of the wheel in confidence. I am glad you had no problem can't afford doing a hydraulic now, very expensive. I wonder why there is such a mixed opinion on the nfs ???
