Thanks for the replies, the estimate on the engine hours was mine not the owners, most years the boat has never left the mooring other than the five minute ride from the ramp to the mooring when it was put in in the spring and pulled in the fall.

I took it out for a test drive today. Ran it out around Monomoy and then for a quick trip out to the Crab Ledge, not a lot of swell but it sure handled what there was, smooth and dry.

The transom checked out good and the deck seemed solid except for the area on either side of the fuel tank which just seemed to be kind of hollow sounding. The hollow sounding areas were very symetrical side to side so I'm thinking this has more to do with stringer layout than an actual problem. Any experience with this? I'm gonna check out another v20 moored nearby to see if it sounds the same.

I'm going to do the compression test towards the end of the week and will try to get a few pictures to post also.
