I never hear of anyone disconnecting the oil injection on Yamaha engines ??? What's the deal there? Are they more reliable than the OMC pumps of past and present?

I don't know jack from a whole in the ground, but somethin tells me the VRO should be disconnected on any 80's model engine. Maybe even early 90's. Especially Mercury, Johnson, and Evinrude. But like I said, I don't know jack.

Take it from Skool. He's opened up several motors and knows jack from a hole in the ground, so I'd take his advice any day. If he tells me to disconnect the VRO on my '04 Yammi, I might argue a little, but then after the warranty period is up, I'll disconnect it ;D
