The stringers are bad up to about 18" from the transom. From there forward they have some bad spots, but are o.k. Probably not worth replacing in a boat of this age.
The transom is shot. After looking into the cost of brackets, outboards, controls, misc. etc, etc, etc, I cooled off on the idea of starting this thing immediately. Its stored in a dry area, so I've put it to the side for now.
