Good point CT. I guess if your "belly" fills with water due to a hole of some sort, the wieght of the water could possible bring the deck level low enough to allow water to enter through the scuppers, which would seriously compromise floatation.

I remember some talk about this on the board a few months back. I'm thinking the non-scuppers belly could possible fill with water without compromising floatation, especially with a full transom model (if everything is sealed up good). Don't know and don't want to find out!
