Ha! I had one of those. Same year (1973). Mine had the pilot house but no flybridge. They really are built like tanks. One of the most stable fishing platforms and a toasty warm pilot house. I kept it slipped in a river up here that is known for being one of the more dangerous inlets on the east coast. It generally claims at least one life per year. The outgoing tide coupled with an east wind produced some nasty standing waves. I ventured out a few times in 10-12 footers with a couple breaking up and over the hard top. The boat took it like a champ. Usually better conditions once you cleared the inlet. Definately not for the faint of heart or lesser boats. The owner of the marina thought I was nuts sometimes, but admitted that if one wanted to go out in those conditions in a boat of that size, that was among some of the better choices. Made me feel a bit more confident anyways. 8)
