I use it also - you'll love it. Put it on your perch rod also. The stuff is like telegraph wire for feeling bites. Be careful you can also cut yourself pretty easy with it and biting off the end just won't work any more.
Try the 'palomar' knot - strong and easy to tie. A good diagram of both knots can be found at Dean Clifton's site - www.cliftond.com. If you haven't seen it, it is a fantastic Erie resource - good honest reports with zero sponsers and a ton of resource info and links. It's all Walleye and Perch in western Erie. Your probably familiar with alot of good sites for our area, but if not, I got a number of 'goto' sites I check regularly that I'm more than happy to share.
