Default Re: Rod Box repair pic's

Step - I sanded the area and wiped with acetone then laid the glass. If you've never worked with fiberglass, it's easy, don't be intimidated - it's just like paper mache when you were a kid. The next day it will be rock solid. On the frontside it was sanded clean and wiped like before. Filled and leveled with our friend 'marine tex'. Sanded and painted. The paint is Interlux 'pre-kote' primer followed by 'brightside' white. Real happy with the result - the question is 'will it still look good in a couple years?' Sounds like a bunch of work but I did several things at the same time - like the other rod box and some beat up hatch liners. Go for it and have fun.

Here's a hatch liner with fiberglass tape around the perimeter and paint. Didn't detail these out big time just made em look clean.
