I was trying to direct people to this site from the facebook groups( there are two of them, i believe Skunkboat oversees one of them). I was sending people to the vast resources and information on this site. I followed up with several of them and they told me they got tired of all the notifications only to be from the political forum, not boat related and they stopped following the site. Several specifically called out BGreene. make no mistake, I can argue with the best of them over politics, any of you ever been on Pirate4x4 or irate4x4 can attest to teh kind of "discussion" I'm used to when it comes to politics. One of the best friend i have from this site is Reelappealing( y'all need to get him back on here) and we have completely opposing opinions on politics. we do not discuss it, we talk fishing, boating and family when we talk. We have remained friends for many years without it ever being an issue. Some of you remember when I first came to this site, it was a refuge for me for many years. It helped me get thru a lot of issues at that time. I like to think this place will always be a refuge for many. I've discussed several topics( the same 5) with Bgreen over the years, he'd ask a question to an answer he already had his mind made up to, if he didn't get the response he wanted, he'd start another topic. If you eliminate any post counts from the politic thread, you find he's way far down the count, I honestly believe he was more interested in his post count than anything. From what I've heard, this isn't the only site he's done this to( bassbarn?). I've given out thousands of $ worth of advise on this site with the only want in return is to have a site i enjoy. I don't know when the last time Skools, of Ferminator, Capt. Pete have been on this, along with a couple other boat wrenches that have frequented this site, but I'm still here trying to help those that ask for help.
