Wondering if there are any members that have ever tried growing mushrooms at home? I'm not talking about the kind that make you see aliens.
I got interested in it some years back but finally tried it myself starting in April this year. I bought some Shiitake sawdust spawn online and inoculated a couple dozen fresh cut white oak logs. Recently I started force fruiting the logs in batches of 3 at a time. That was last weekend and in a couple days I'll be harvesting my first flush of shiitake mushrooms. Pretty cool to see it actually work and I can't wait to try them out!
