News flash:
Politicians sometimes lie. Politicians sometimes cheat. Politicians are not typically moral role-model types, indeed many are scoundrels. Anyone who looks to politicians for moral guidance is destined for disappointment.
When looking toward the upcoming presidential election, David Brooks writes in the NYT:
I still believe Biden is the party’s strongest candidate, but I’m getting more pessimistic about his chances of winning.
The first reason is not political rocket science: Voters prefer the Republicans on key issues like inflation and immigration. Most Donald Trump supporters I know aren’t swept up in his cult of personality; they vote for him because they are conservative types who like G.O.P. policies and think Trump is a more effective executive than Biden.
It could also be that Biden consistently displays a disconnect with reality when speaking in public (ex: Uncle Bosey being eaten by cannibals) that is becoming harder to ignore. Even with a teleprompter, his speech is marred by slurred, garbled words that convey that he really doesn't know what he is saying, and he is famous for reading aloud the cues from the prompter such as, "Four More Years! Pause."

I don't believe he can last four more years.
