Interestingly, I got my 85 V-20 almost 20 years ago from a guy with no mechanical ability beyond changing the oil (for which Im grateful), when it quit running. He usedd used it in the ocean off California fishing. He replaced it with a new 23 Striper walk around and told me later that the V was a better boat in the ocean. Unfortunately mine is collecting dust until I can get back to it for a thorough clean-up and a few maintenance items.

I fished my V21 in the ocean to about 20 miles out for all the years I owned it.
With proper trim tabs and experienced Capt. these Vs run great, and very stable on the drift.
The Formula 233 is a very different hull. It rides much bigger, and is much bigger inside and out. Design goes back to Don Aronow in 1962. Its also a very classic cuddy design which I like. Im pleased to have sold the V21 to Dave, and fortunate to have found the Formula.
