 Something to do till spring
 |  My 1st 4 reels were Diawa 50H's.  Still have them.  They still work and aside from a very slight pitting on the chrome reel seat they look like new.  Funny, I look on eBay for stuff a lot.  They sell for more used now than what I paid for them 20 years ago.  You can't beat quality.  Phat, you sound like me.  My wife counted all my rods last year and told me I have just over 50  (Salt and fresh)  Most I aquired the same way you did.  Garage sales, friends giving them to me, second hand stores, etc.  When I die someone's going to inherit a gold mine.  :)
