Your Guardian link makes my point, as much as they try to support yours. The arrests in this situation are significantly different in nature than most in the federal system - THEY are in stark contrast to the usual arrests. Adding to that the hyper desire to arrest anyone remotely associated with the demonstration inside the Capitol and it makes your insinuation that these people are somehow getting off easy a false one.

The Guardian, printing the assertion that there are so many laws, there should be something to charge them with, e.g. property destruction is typical left thinking - where is the cry to prosecute the domestic terrorists who did massive property destruction in their incessant rioting?

This is the same Guardian that reported on a joint British and American Marine Corps training exercise, saying that the relatively small British contingent “won” and humiliated our Marines. That was a flagrant lie. Their Capitol story wasn’t as bad the Marine story, but the insinuation that the people in the Capitol situation were getting a pass ignores that in large part they were prejudicially wholesale, unfairly targeted for arrest. What else would you expect under a Biden DOJ?

Another case of you making a biased, not honest attempt to smear those you don’t agree with. This isn’t intended for your benefit, because it won’t pass your willful ignorance filter to even crease your consciousness, but just to correct the record.

On another subject, your comment that the George Floyd riots weren’t attacks on our government, but protesting police brutality, is also largely false. The violent, destructive riots were largely driven by ANTIFA, who’s clearly stated objective is to tear down the system. It was very much an attack on the government and our democracy.
