That’s about what I would expect from PBS. It’s full of lawyer speak, taking statements that did and those that didn’t relate to the assertion being posited by PBS and drawing the most negative conclusions they could stretch to.
I used to split my listening when I was driving around between PBS/NPR and a conservative talk show, but during the Portland riots, our local public broadcasting station became such apologists for the rioting thugs that I couldn’t waste my time on them. I still listen some to get the left wing news, but reporting on the riots and a good number of other topics, they forfeited their relight to be called journalists. The tipping point for me was when they were interviewing a couple of “independent journalists” about the riots, and asked about justification for burning and smashing local small businesses and gave a complete pass to the answer “well, they were just so frustrated”. That is what’s deeply wrong with the left wing media and causing the deep division in the country.
