The last administration encouraged domestic energy production and US energy independence. What logically followed were lower energy prices and a burgeoning US economy.
The current administration (in its third non-consecutive term) and its party have discouraged and stymied domestic fossil fuel production as a way of artificially increasing energy costs to the consumer to encourage alternate so-called "green" energy for which the current infrastructure is not ready. So instead of our domestic producers being ready for the so-called "demand snap back" the current administration is going hat in hand begging for increased oil production from the very countries from whom we were weaning our dependence, countries whose methods are substantially less environmentally friendly than our own. Ironically, those were so concerned about domestic drilling aren't at all concerned about dirtier foreign drilling because the higher gas prices have played a substantial role in the highest inflation -- 8.5% -- since the 70s-80s. They're now grasping at straws in a desperate attempt to save their political careers, and worsening the polluting of the environment because of their inane policies.
This is true and these are facts.
And as an aside, there's this:

but sure, Trump "supports drilling everywhere - including on our most environmentally pure lands and waterways, the ocean, everywhere."
