We don't need Keystone's oil... The world does. We (the US) gets almost all it's oil from 3 sources.... Domestic, Canada and Venezuela. We get almost nothing from the Arabs.
But in case you still don't understand, here's an example:
Let's say there are
X gallons of oil available to the world every day and the price is
Y, then by increasing
X you decrease
Y. It's simple supply and demand. That pipeline would have increased the worlds supply and so the price of oil and oil products would have decreased at all levels. (To say nothing of the jobs it would have produced here in the US, as well as the leverage it would have given us in world affairs).
By stopping the pipeline and the leasing of Federal lands for oil exploration he (Biden) made a lot of people in the stock market very nervous. They've pulled back their money and are now taking a wait and see attitude. Waiting to see what further "Green Energy" initiatives Biden and the Dem's are going to try to get through Congress and how that will effect stock prices. That scarcity of money has slowed exploration of non Federal Lands and all that uncertainty is helping fuel the inflation that Biden's presidency has caused.
