He said clearly in a speech that I heard, that all but a couple of legal scholars stated that what he was doing, extending the rent moratorium wouldn’t pass constitutional muster, but it was worth a try. I believe the Supreme Court also recently ruled in the issue to that effect.

This one is particularly of interest to me, since one and soon to be two rental houses will be a substantial part of our retirement. We’re not wealthy and I find it pretty offensive that he blithely and illegally decides that my retirement income is something he can potentially reduce to zero on a whim. A friend has a rental house, the tenants are both working and able to pay the rent, but they don’t have to, so they’re not paying it and can’t be evicted.

I think the post you’re calling nonsense is FACT, TRUTH.

I agree with some of your positions, but you’re really losing credibility with your incessant polar extreme ranting and complete lack of response to legitimate comments bringing up things that actually are threats to our democracy, e.g. rioting, looting, destruction of property, loss of businesses, many of them minority owned, serious assaults on people . . .

By not engaging in a real discussion, you’re not convincing anyone and I wish you’d give it a rest.
