As long as you completely coated the inside of the hole in the transom with 5200 before you inserted the coated brass tube you'll be fine. The trick is to keep any water from going around the outside of the tube and soaking the wood in the transom, both from the inside and the outside. Baring that, a nice layer right on the flanges with 5200 will work also. 5200 is awesome stuff.
