That could be a really BIG DEAL. On my ‘85 I/O, the vent is close to the fill cap. On mine, if my vent hose was laying in the bottom of the boat, and I hit some waves, it could dump fuel in the bilge and could easily blow up the boat.
Please don’t start up or turn on anything that might spark until it’s resolved.
