			Sorry it happened.  :(  Glad you made it to the pier when it did let go.  There are a lot of people running these boats with 200HP engines.  In fact, while I cannot speak for every engine made by every maker, I do know that most times the difference between a 150, a 175 and a 200 was purely a matter of the carbs that were on the engine.  The blocks were all the same.  I invite "Mr. know it all boat mechanic" to come look at my boat with it's nice shiny 1993 200 HP Merc engine that's been on her since I got her several years ago.    Depending on the year, these boats are rated for up to 225 hp.  As long as your transom is solid you should be fine with a 200.
