Everyone who goes to the Olympics, wants to win the Gold even the teams who aren't that good, but they show class when they lose. Larocque showed no class at all and POOR SPORTSMANSHIP for her country and her team.

Actually, I saw several of the Canadian women crying immediately after they lost. Larocque was one of them. (Hell, a few weeks ago I saw a few distraught Patriots football players with their heads in their hands after their lost in the SuperBow). Intensity and emotions do that to a person. As for her removing the medal from around her neck... so what? She never disparaged anyone, she never mocked the US team after they won. If she didn't want to wear the medal that's her business. OK, it wasn't the best idea to do that but in the final of a team sport like Ice hockey, unlike Gold and Bronze, you don't win a Silver medal,.... you get handed it because you lost. She was clearly crushed at the defeat. I'm sorry, but I don't see it as poor sportsmanship. (or would that be poor sportspersonship)? either way, to me it was a non issue. Certainly nothing to get worked up about.
