Striper,
To me the boats feel much different.

The V 20 feels more nimble and can stay on plane at a slower speed.

The 22-23 footer honestly gives the feel of a better ride probably because of where you sit further back on the boat. I also feel the ride is a little drier.

The cockpit is huge on a V 20 compare to the 22-23 footer. However there isn't anywhere the usable space in the V 20 cuddy versus the 22-23 footer.

If I was running a rough section of water.. inlet, bar, hole, channel like a white knuckle ride I would prefer the V 20.

If I was running 30 miles home in sloppy conditions I might prefer the 22-23 footer due to the seating position and dryness. However a V 20 center console might run just as well but I have never been on a CC V 20.

Both are pretty good boats. We have run 20 miles home in the V 20 in 2-3 footer. We have had our 23 footer out in small craft but only about a 6 mile run.

Both boats run well in a following sea.

We swapped our V 20 on to the 23 footer trailer and didn't have to make a single adjustment. This tells me the running surface is close to the same.

Not sure I could choose one over the other.
