What on earth is she doing in the Keys?
Yup. I have to agree that the "downeast" style is right at the top of my list for beauty and functionality if you're a fisherman, crabber, lobsterman, of diver. The only problem I have with them is they are displacement hulls, which severely limits your speed... (especially if you're trying to outrun an approaching storm and you're miles out to sea). If they would make a downeast style deck with a deep V planing hull like a V20's at a reasonable cost I would be all over it. And yes, I know that Shamrock and a few others do make somewhat similar boats, but they are mostly inboards and I/O's.. and they cost way too much for this poor retiree.

If God didn't have a purpose for us we wouldn't be here, so
Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.
(Leave the rest to God)

Silence, in the face of evil, is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless.
