speaking of drains...

Since I have such easy access to mine I decided to replace all.

Seems they don't make them like they did in 1984.
The diameter of the hole in the side of my boat is 1-1/2".
The fitting does have some play inside the hole.
The fitting is a combination 1-1/4 AND 1-1/8 hose barb. (I know, I need pix!).

Fitting available at marine stores and online do not fit a 1-1/2 HOLE.
NO FITTING DESCRIPTIONS STATE THE DIAMETER OF THE HOLE REQUIRED.
They tell you the hose barb size, the Flange OD and the max thickness of hull.

I stood in West Marine comparing what I had with every brand and material in the store.
Seems my choice is drill bigger or fill & drill smaller.
Also.... the fitting in the deck is 1" hose going to the 1-1/8 side fitting, which isn't right(has been that way forever).

Also, my bilge overboard is the same combination 1-1/4 AND 1-1/8 hose barb.
My bilge pump has a 1-1/8" but the better quality fittings are 1" or 1-1/4", no 1-1/8.

And they don't carry the type with the built in flapper to prevent backwash.
Was hoping to use those.
