I like the 1965 because it will fit in my back gate with no problems. The gate and space between the house and side fence is only 9 feet wide and I can back the skiff in the backyard with my 4Runner. The 1965 also trails a lot nicer behind your vehicle. The 1965 will be a whole lot more boat than your other one. Perfect for inshore or trolling off the beaches like you said.

Mine is stripped down right now. I removed the rear deck, console, and cooler seat. Gonna put in a custom, no frills, low profile console moved back about a foot, move the battery and fuel tank forward under the console, 31 inch wide leaning post, glass the new front deck to the hull, and glass in some pvc rigging tubes along side the the starboard gunnel. Gonna paint everything to match my V-20; Awlgrip oyster white on everything, with a light blue deck. Picked up a deal on a 2012 dealer demo inline 90 ETEC with hardly any hours and a warranty til 2022.

I love how shallow she will float, but never knew a 6 inch chop could be so bad.
