Well here is the little pirogue Im building for those that havent seen it on Facebook. As stated before I just wanted something to fool around in some ponds and wanted something light. The main goal here was something durable with as little weight as possible. This isnt a show piece at all so it wont get a whole lot of fairing, sanding and finish work. 
Started out with a few sheets of cheap luan. Its getting glassed and completely sealed so the wood is just a basis for forming what I need.
 
Started with 11" sides and scarfed them together by routing out 3" on each section:
 
 
Let cure overnight. All set with Gorilla glue, its good stuff:
 
Bow stems cut, several inches too long and a 19 degree angle:
 
Ends cut, I went roungly 12.5' overall length:

I failed to take more pics of the process. All that was really done is getting measurements and angle and setting up the three ribs to dry overnight. Once dried I installed them with glue and clamped in place with a few brads and screws. 
Flipped it and skinned the bottom:
