Hey boatrookie, we are curious about the drive shaft being stuck - as one person already mentioned it could be the infamous hidden johnnyrude bolt.
Did the lower unit separate any at all? If you have all the bolts out it should drop down 1/2 - 3/4 inches or more when the motor is in reverse. If it won't separate at all the shaft probably isn't stuck.
I had a 140 johnson outboard driveshaft stuck once and finally took it to a shop where they were able to get (bang) it off, somehow.
