it hurts so much, Eric was family, far beyond normal ties. When we were recovering from my daughters treatment, Eric was the first success story we met, he was the first glimmer of hope, the first answer to our prayers that a cure was to be found.He was in his forth year being clear, only to have it come back two years later. i'm very frustrated in having too many people I've loved die to cancer. My daughters thought of Eric as their brother,my wife thought of him as her son. with due respect, I never assumed the role of father as he has a good one at home. It still hurts to the core.
