My niece graduated from The Citadel, and when we went there for her graduation we also did some sightseeing. One of the items on my list was the Hunley. Truly a magnificent testament to the courage of the officers and crews that proved that she could work, and in the process gave birth to the modern submarine.

Since your daughter is turning into quite the history buff you really need to get up to Battleship cove in Mass. Not only is the Iowa class battleship USS Massachusetts BB-59 berthed there as a museum, but the USS Kennedy (A Fletcher class WWII Destroyer that went thru FRAM [Fleet Rehabilitation And Modernization]) A WWII Submarine, A fully restored PT boat, the bow of a boat whose name I forget, and a ton of other things. Really an interesting site.

And, relatively speaking, it's not all that far from there to where MJ lives... so she could see a really old antique also.

If God didn't have a purpose for us we wouldn't be here, so
Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly.
(Leave the rest to God)

Silence, in the face of evil, is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak, not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless.
