It's tricky...
On the one hand, we are signers of the UN ban against the use of chemical weapons... So we should help enforce that ban...
On the other hand, I don't want to see us dragged into another war where we seem to be the only ones spending money and resources and manpower to enforce something that the rest of the world seems to ignore...
Personally, I think we should let them settle their own differences... any way they want to... and stay out of it entirely.
Obama is trying to make the case that our own national interests are at stake in this, and I just don't see that arguement as holding water. I don't want to see another American soldier killed because of imagined "National Interests" that will really only help make the industrial sector more money.
