On Sunday morning, I ran my V about seven miles out for some wreck fishing out of Shark River inlet, Belmar, NJ.

The morning had some chop and the V ate it up. I had to remind myself I was in a twenty footer!

I did have a lot of weight in the cabin - about 150lbs form tools to an old life raft so I was able to keep the bow cutting into the waves.

I don't have trim tabs yet (will be installed later this week) and I did not pound once.

The only thing I can compare this ride to is a larger Mako but the fuel economy was terrible. I never rode in a Seacraft or some of the other famous riding hulls.

Also - very stable while fishing the wreck on the hook.

And, we caught fish!

Great day...
Nice - get the tabs, never mind the Canoli.
Based on the assorted boats I've owned and been on.........I rate the V's ride as ok without tabs, good to very good with tabs. Once you run into tight 2' - 4' head sea ocean chop for a distance without, then with tabs, you'll know.........
