Different dashes for sure, but here's my solution...



BS, if I were faced with that dash to redo, I'd look reel hard at this:

imagine a flat surface instead of the "step-out" you have now...single piece of Starboard, milled nicely to fit laying from top of existing surface(just under compass)angled down to outter edge of step-out(just behind wheel)...then fill in angles on each side...that way, it's one flat surface w/ plenty of room to surface mount electronics, switch panels, gauges , etc...router edges for a factory- finished look !/4" round-over looks good...IMHO... ;) ;D...

Yeah...F1's dash looks like what I'm talkin' about...single, more angled surface, but you'd have no black plate backing ...all white mounting surface... ;) ;D
