Or a 14 1/2 dia. x 17 P might work better...I'd give that one a spin 1st...important you have a working tach and know Evinrude's max recommended RPMs for that motor...a good way to know you have correct prop is that the motor on that boat will spin up to that max RPM...that's not to say you should run it a whole lot at that number, but indication of correct prop...2/3 to 3/4 of that number should be a CRUISE speed...maybe a little higher...when you test, it should be w/light load, 1/2 tank gas, flat water, no to little wind and 1 friend...running in straight line, trim motor up til you hear it start to lose bite and back down one touch...let us know how it does...pictures if ya can!!...

I've seen several people read this and reply; Oh, I'm never gonna run it at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) like that... and they have missed the whole point...this is only a test...
