Not trying to burst your bubble or anything and I know it's 9 years old and all. I have no experience with the 5.7L. I had the 5.9L and when I got rid of it, I was getting 10mpg!!! I had so many problems the last few years that I owned it, I swore I'd never buy another Ram or any Chrysler product for that matter. Can't wait to get rid of my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee.

on top of what CB said, I would pass for one other very good reason. Look at the step bars and see how tehy are bent upwards. That truck has been offroaded HARD, and was high centered in teh middle to bend those steps like that. I bet if you look underneath you will find some frame twist and other problems from offroading.
The Tahoe looks like a decent find if it checks out. Chances are it will need an idler and pitman arm in the front end, but at that milage it shouldn't need but general maintence otherwise I would think.
