Well, NJ being a heavily democratic state, it was almost a foregone conclusion that they would pass such stupidity. At least ONE law, however, was passed that I'm happy to see.
Bill A3788 makes it illegal for anyone to have access to the names and addresses of gun owners. It specifically mentions the case in NY where a newspaper published the names and addresses of gun owners, obtained under the freedom of information act, making them at risk for theft, etc. This bill stops that from being able to happen in NJ, and that's a good thing.
