make sure you paint Marvel Mystery Oil on the new water pump impeller. that will soak into the rubber and keep it soft for years. will also reduce the rubber of getting memory. it will help to protect and save your impeller from a dry start. i do that to all water pump kits i install. torn one open after 10 yrs and still looked new and no memory from sitting. i have never had one come back with water pump issues.
